In Kalyana Karnataka Road Transport Corporation, from now onwards, you can’t play music on mobile phone speakers.
The KKRTC has banned playing loud music, watching movies, news, or radio channels using mobile phone speakers or in loudspeaker mode. A circular has been issued by the Managing Director of KKRTC in this regard, asking all concerned to implement this order with immediate effect.
Playing music, watching videos without using earphones, or simply using the speakers of a mobile phone for this purpose disturbs other passengers, and bus drivers occasionally play music on the music system installed on the buses. With the issuance of the official circular, the practise will be stopped.
The MD in the circular stated that the bus staff have been instructed to tell passengers to switch off the “speaker mode” and instead switch to the “earphone mode.” If the passenger did not listen to the request of the bus driver and conductor, then they can drop the passenger from the bus for violation of the Motor Vehicle Act and the money he paid for the journey will not be refunded, the circular stated.
