Hubballi: The Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), which has earned a reputation throughout the state for providing excellent COVID treatment to infected patients during the previous two COVID waves, has risen to the occasion once again, and the KIMS Hospital has opened a 24/7 COVID-19 testing facility on its makeshift hospital premises.
Suspected patients can offer their nasopharyngeal swabs at any time at this hospital, and the patient’s physical triage will take place there. The hospital’s Vedanta Field Hospital has also opened a COVID casualty centre that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Dr. Ramalingappa, Director of KIMS, told www.hubliexpress.com that the round-the-clock swab collecting facility would benefit patients who came to the hospital at odd hours to give their swab. The Vedanta Field Hospital remains open round the clock, to serve the patients. It has all of the necessary equipment to treat patients, he said.
