Hubballi: Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) lit up with joyous celebrations on Sunday, as the institute celebrated Basava Jayanti, Lord Basaveshwara, one of the greatest social reformers of Karnataka. The KIMS Golden Jubilee Auditorium was adorned with colors and echoed with the soulful chants of Basava’s teachings.
The event was graced by the presence of the eminent Shivanna Gudgunti, who delivered a thought-provoking lecture on the life and legacy of Basaveshwara. The Director of KIMS, Dr. Ramalingappa Antaratani, presided over the celebrations, adding his own insightful remarks on the significance of Basava’s teachings in modern times.
