Hubballi: The Keshwapur police have nabbed an accused who was absconding after stealing money from a shop.
The police said the accused, a 23-year-old Bengaluru resident, was working as an employee in that shop, where he stole Rs 6 lakh from the cash drawer of the shop on October 25.
The accused was absconding after stealing money, but Keshwapur police Inspector Jagadish Hanchinal and his team traced the accused after eight days of rigorous search. The police have recovered cash Rs. 4.21 lakh, a Dio moped, silver articles, and a mobile phone that he purchased with the stolen money.
Police sources said that the accused has no history of crime, but his desire to become rich instantly prompted him to do the crime.
