Kartik Deepotsava at Manjunath Swamy Temple in Old Hubballi

Hubballi: Like every year, the Kartik Deepotsava of Sri Manjunath Swamy temple in Old Hubballi will be held on December 26. Special religious rituals would be held at the 300-year-old temple on that day.

Rudrabhishek would be performed to the main deity Sri Manjunath Swamy early in the morning, later, special poojas would be held for Adi Shakti, Anjeneya Swamy, Annappa Swamy, Ashwath Narayana, the Padamavati tree, Panchamukhi Anjneya Swamy, Guru Dattatreya, Ganapathi, Subramanya Swamy, and other deities in the temple complex.

Manjunath Swamy here is said to  be wish-granter, and devotees throng this temple on Mondays and no-moon days (Amavasya). On December 26, evening Deepotsava will be held, and on that special Ek Mukhi Rudrakshi will be kept for the darshan of the devotees.
