Karnataka’s Hoysala temples are India’s nomination for the World Heritage List of 2023

Bengaluru: The Hoysala temples of Belur, Halebidu, and Somnathapura in Karnataka have been selected as India’s World Heritage nominee for the years 2022–2023, according to the Union Culture Ministry.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai posted a message on Koo to express his happiness and to share the information with the people.

A moment of great pride for #Karnataka that India has officially nominated ’The Sacred Ensembles of The Hoysalas’ to the World Heritage List of 2023. Represented by the temples at Belur, Halebidu and Somanathapura, these exquisite works of architectural excellence are wonders that have to be witnessed and their grandeur soaked in.
