New Delhi, 14 May (HS): Praveen Sood, Karnataka’s top cop, has been zeroed in on as the next director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
He will take over as director from current director Subodh Kumar Jaiswal, whose tenure expires on May 25. Sood made headlines in March after Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar accused him of shielding the state’s BJP government.
