Bengaluru: On Sunday, nine new COVID-19 cases were reported in Karnataka. Although no deaths occurred in the past 24 hours, the state’s positivity rate stands at 8.65%.
Currently, out of the total 47 active cases across the state, 46 individuals are in home isolation, while one person has been admitted to a private hospital. In the last 24 hours, 104 tests—including RT-PCR and rapid antigen tests—were conducted.
To maintain close surveillance on the virus, the state health department has announced that daily RT-PCR testing will be increased to 150–200 tests across Karnataka, as per the recommendations of the COVID-19 Technical Advisory Committee.
