Bengaluru: Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri has invited all MLAs to a screening of the recently released Bollywood film “The Kashmir Files” tomorrow (Tuesday) at 6.45 p.m. at Mantri Mall in Bengaluru.
He invited all MLAs, including those from the opposing parties, to watch the movie with them at the mall’s screen number six. He praised the state government for making the film tax-free. He invited the MLAs during the Assembly session today.
The film got a good response and earned Rs 3.55 crore on the first day and it is going strong.
On March 12, the film team including director Agnihotri, his wife, and actress Pallavi Joshi, producer Abhishek met Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Kashmir Files, starring Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar hit the silver screen on March 11. The film tells the plight of Kashmiri Pandits who were forced to flee their homes (Kashmir Genocide). Kashmiri Pandits were tormented, forcibly removed from their homeland, and slaughtered in 1990.
