Mysuru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is gearing up to campaign for party candidates in Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts of Karnataka, as the assembly elections draw near in just 18 days. Although the schedule is yet to be confirmed, Modi is expected to launch his state tour from Mysuru district, with a tentative date set for May 2 or 3, following the postponement of the original date of April 29.
Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha has confirmed that Modi will be campaigning on behalf of the candidates, with a planned roadshow in Mysuru and a public meeting in Chamarajanagar. However, the exact dates for these events are yet to be finalized.
In addition to Modi, the BJP has several other star campaigners who will also be hitting the campaign trail soon. Home Minister Amit Shah, , BJP National President J.P. Nadda, Â UP CM Yogi Adityanath, and other prominent figures are all expected to campaign for party candidates in the state, he said.
