In response to their disappointing performance in the recent assembly elections, the JDS party has scheduled a meeting for tomorrow (Thursday) to thoroughly assess and understand the reasons behind their significant defeat.
Despite initially aiming to secure 123 seats, they were only able to win 19 seats, which has been a tough pill to swallow for JDS supporters. The party leaders, led by former Prime Minister and JDS leader H.D. Devegowda, party president CM Ibrahim, and HD Kumaraswamy will conduct a review session during this meeting.
They intend to analyze the factors that contributed to their defeat, despite successfully organizing the Pancharatna Rath Yatra throughout the state. Notably, the party is surprised and concerned about the loss of MLAs who had previously won elections. Thus, the primary objective of this gathering is to gather detailed information about the constituencies in which they were defeated, in order to gain insights and learn from this humiliating defeat.
