Hubballi: M B Patil, chairman of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee‘s (KPCC) campaign committee, stated that the Congress would win more than 140 seats in the 2023 Assembly election and that it would take them two years to clean up the BJP’s mess after returning to power.
MB Patil stated that the BJP made people’s lives miserable, as they faced the heat of inflation, unemployment, and corruption. During the BJP’s rule, development work came to a halt, and it may take Congress two years to rectify the mistakes they made.
He was speaking to reporters in Hubballi. He said the Congress has decided to reach people by visiting their doors and explaining the failures of the BJP government and highlighting the achievements of the Congress party and Congress government. The party workers would explain how the BJP’s misrule has harmed them.
M B Patil said that a new chapter would be opened after the 2023 Assembly elections by attempting to reach a consensus on the Veerashaiva-Lingayat community receiving minority community status.
“Efforts would be made after the elections to get seers of Virakta Mutts, Panchapeethas, and Akhila Bharat Veerashaiva Mahsabha, Jagatika Lingayat Mahasahba, and others together to discuss getting minority status for all sub-sects of the Lingayat,” he said.
