Hubballi: The Vande Bharat Express, India’s first semi-high-speed train, will run between Dharwad and Bengaluru in just three months.
Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Mines, and Coal Pralhad Joshi informed the public of this through his social media accounts.
Joshi wrote, “Vande Bharat express train service will be introduced between Dharwad-Hubballi and Bengaluru by March 2023,” and he further added that “the central government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, and the Railway Ministry have begun the work to upgrade the Haveri-Byadgi section track to allow the express train to run faster.”
Joshi said that this work will resolve the technical issue that hinders the speed of the trains: “The work will resolve the technical issues that hinder the speed of trains and make the track ready to enable the express train to run at a higher speed. The work will also help other trains move faster once the doubling gets completed.”
Vande Bharat Express service is expected to begin once the doubling and electrification work between these two cities is completed.
