Gadag: Upset with the habit of his father’s alcohol addiction, the son allegedly killed his father with a pickaxe in Gadag district’s Hulakoti village. The son informed the police by dialling them about the crime he committed.
The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Chikkanatti, 58, and the accused has been identified as Vijay. The incident happened in Ganesh Nagar in Hulkoti village on Wednesday. The son allegedly killed the father with a pickaxe when he was fast asleep. Some are saying family-related problems were said to be the reason for the murder.
Gadag Rural police have registered a case, and an investigation is going on. Superintendent of Police Shivaprakash Devaraju visited the spot.
