Hubballi: If you are constructing a house, or building a structure, then you need to be careful. The Hubballi Rural Police arrested two people on the outskirts of Hubballi for allegedly transporting steel bars stolen from a construction site.
The accused have been identified as Basappa Haranshikhari and Peersab Kolkar, and the police have seized around Rs 85,000 worth of steel bars and Rs 5 lakh worth of a Tata Intra vehicle. The police said that they used to steal the bars and sell them to vendors or site owners at a discounted price. The police said that site owners should appoint security guards at their construction sites to avoid the theft of valuables.
Hubballi Rural Inspector Ramesh Gokak led a team that arrested the accused. PSI Chamundeshwari, staff MN Honappanavar, Mahantesh Nangoudra, Girish Tippanavar, Sangmesh Sagar, ASI Neelammanavar, Chandru Janaganavar, and Kantesh Reddy were part of the team.
