Social worker, Padma Shri Ibrahim Sutar (76), passed away at his residence this morning due to a heart attack, said sources.
He was known as the “Kabir of Kannada,” and he worked to promote religious harmony in society. He used to give speeches on religious harmony, which he used to motivate the younger generation.
Sources said that Sutar passed away at his residence in Mahalingapura town in Bagalkot district. It is said that he suffered a heart attack at around 6.30 am. His family members took him to a nearby hospital, but it was too late.
