Hubballi witnessed a massive protest condemning the violence in Manipur and Haryana, as well as the atrocities committed against the Christian community, while demanding protection for Christians. The protest, was organised by “Manushya Swabhav Samudaya,” in the city on Monday.
The demonstrators marched through the city before presenting a memorandum to the Tahsildar. The protest march commenced at Dr BR Ambedkar Circle and concluded at Mini Vidhana Soudha, covering major thoroughfares such as Station Road, Durgadbail, Koppikar Road, and Sangolli Rayanna Circle.
Subsequently, the protesters submitted a memorandum to the President of India through the Thasildar. During the event, religious leaders strongly condemned the violence occurring in both of these states and questioned the silence of the Union Government on the matter. They demanded immediate intervention by the Union Government to restore normalcy in those states.
