Hubballi Town Police Rescues Two Minors

Hubballi: Town police led by inspector Anand Onakudare rescued two minor girls who allegedly had gone missing from Raichur and were loitering at Hubballi railway station suspiciously.

The police handed over the minors to the Raichur police on Monday. According to the police, the girls were studying at a government PU college in Raichur and had gone missing since Sunday. The Town police, along with the Railway Protection Force staff, caught the girls who were roaming the station premises suspiciously, and during the inquiry, they showed the tickets to the police personnel and said that they were going to Bengaluru.

The police, by that time, got information from Raichur police that they were searching for missing girls, and after verification, they informed the Raichur police, who subsequently alerted the parents of the girls. The local police and parents have reached Hubballi, and the process of handing over the girls to the police is going on, said the local police sources.

The police also said that the girls were bored of their studies and they wanted to spend time on a journey and also confessed that along with them, two other girls also came to Hubballi but they returned to Raichur by bus after a few hours. The Raichur police were informed about this and the police secured them on their arrival at the Raichur bus stand.

Police said that the parents of the students registered a kidnap case at the Women Police station in Raichur, as they were minors.
