Hubballi: Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly, Siddaramaiah has promised to fulfill all the election promises made by the Congress party in the first month after forming the government.
Congress Promises Three Guarantees
He assured reporters that the party is committed to delivering three guarantees, which include providing monthly assistance of Rs 2,000 to the woman head of every family under Gruha Laxmi, 200 units of free power to all households under Gruha Jyoti, and 10 kg of rice free of charge to every member of a BPL family under the Anna Bhagya scheme.
Siddaramaiah said that if the Congress government cannot fulfill these promises, they would not deserve to run the state for 10 seconds. However, he also stressed that the Congress party aims to implement these guarantees without burdening the exchequer, despite these implementation costs Rs 46,000 crore to the exchequer.

He cited his party’s previous record of fulfilling 158 out of 165 election promises made in 2013 and implementing 30 additional projects, while the BJP government only delivered on 55 out of 600 poll promises made in the last assembly election.
Siddaramaiah also revealed that the Congress party has two more guarantees that will be disclosed soon. He said that if Congress comes to power, it will strive to create a welfare state that takes care of people from all walks of life.
Furthermore, Siddaramaiah criticized the Basavaraj Bommai-led government, calling it a “40% government” and accusing it of being mired in corruption from top to bottom. He also claimed that the BJP government has failed to fulfill its promises, resulting in a lack of development and public dissatisfaction.
