Hubballi: The state government will open exclusive clinics for ladies called “Ayusmathi” clinics in the month of January, and this would be the new year’s gift for the people of Karnataka,” said Health and Family Welfare Department Minister Dr K Sudhakar.

Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the state’s first Namma Clinic in Renuka Nagar in the Bhairidevarkoppa area with CM Basavaraj Bommai, the health minister said that the state government has chalked out plans to launch these clinics.

He said today ( Wednesday) 114 Namma Clinics opened in the state and by the end of January month 438 such clinics would start functioning across the state, he said.

He said that as of now one urban primary health centre is catering around 50,000 population. And Namma Clinics were established to cater per 15,000 to 20,000 population. Each clinic will have a 1,000-square-foot area and will have a waiting room, consultation room, injection room, pharmacy, dispensing room, yoga room, and laboratory, he said.
