Hubballi: The Hubballi Sub Urban police have arrested a person for allegedly trying to transport cash worth Rs 1.14 crore. The police team led by Inspector MS Hugar arrested the accused while he was boarding a VRL bus in the city to Mangaluru on Saturday night.
The police got information about this man that he was boarding a VRL bus to Mangaluru, and based on the direction of their superiors, they nabbed him. He was found with Rs 1,14,70,000 in cash, for which he had no documents and a mobile phone by the police. The cops have not revealed the name of the person, and an investigation is going on.
The police are looking into where he got the money, to whom he was planning to hand it over, and for what purpose he was carrying the cash. They said that they did not get any documents related to the cash he was possessing.
