Hubballi: The police have arrested the accused in connection with murder happened in Bengeri on Tuesday night.
The incident revolves around an altercation between two friends, Manjunath and Aslam. Manjunath had recently purchased a smartwatch that came with a gift coupon worth Rs 200. Aslam, also a friend, had repeatedly requested Manjunath to share the coupon and the smartwatch, but Manjunath had declined.
On Tuesday night, tensions escalated as Aslam had received his salary and once again asked Manjunath for the watch and coupon. Unfortunately, this disagreement took a tragic turn, culminating in a murder.
The accused had stabbed the victim with kitchen knife and it pierced his lungs and he died immediately in the hospital due to excessive bleeding, said the police and added that they apprehended the accused involved in this incident.
