Hubballi: Residents of Swagat Colony in Gopankoppa used the occasion of Tulasi Pooja to vent their ire against the bad condition of the roads on Saturday. The ladies of the area placed a Tulasi plant in a pothole and performed a marriage ceremony of Goddess Tulasi.
The upset ladies charged that local MLA Jagadish Shettar failed to repair the roads in their area and alleged that they submitted memoranda to him many times despite the fact that he did not take up the road repair works. They said that they were forced to do the pooja on the badly damaged roads to highlight the issue, and they urged him to repair the road at the earliest.
Residents Basamma Mallur, Drakshayani Matapathi, Laxmi Kabir, Shobha Kale, Shantavva Bandiwaddar, and others were present.
