On Sunday, Hubballi Suburban Police seized 16.86 kilogrammes of Ganja from two accused while they were attempting to sell it near Chatnimath Cross in the city.
The police also seized a Santro car in which they were carrying the drug. The arrested have been identified as Anant, a resident of Osmanabad, and Nagnath, a resident of Sollapur, Maharashtra. The police sources said that the accused sourced ganja from Vishakhapatnam and were planning to sell it in Hubballi.
The arrests were made by a team led by Inspector Ravichandra DB. Staff Chalwadi, Danigond, Yaraguppi, Halumarad, Krishna, Prakasha, Renappa, Mang, Ayyangoudar, and Guddappa were part of the team that nabbed the accused.
A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act.
