Hubballi: In preparation for the upcoming 11-day Ganesha festival, the Hubballi-Dharwad Police took proactive measures by conducting a route march in the city’s sensitive areas on Monday evening. This show of force aims to boost residents’ confidence and send a clear message to any potential troublemakers that the law will be enforced rigorously.
The route march was led by Police Commissioner Renuka Sukumar, who spoke to the press about the security arrangements put in place for a peaceful festival. Commissioner Renuka Sukumar revealed that a total of 5,000 police personnel have been deployed in the city, including officers from neighboring districts. In addition to this, a company of the Rapid Action Force and another from the Central Industrial Security Force have been stationed to bolster security.
The police route march covered key areas within the south and north subdivisions of the commissionerate, ensuring a visible and proactive presence to maintain law and order during the festive season.
