HUBBALLI: NWKRTC BUS CONDUCTOR HELD FOR STEALING MONEY

Hubballi: The Gokul Road police arrested A bus conductor attached to NWKRTC Hubballi Mofussil depot for allegedly stealing money, a conductor kit bag, and a bag belonging to another conductor.

The police team led by Inspector JM Kalimirchi arrested the accused, according to the police, on December 20. Manjunath Puttayya, a conductor working with KSRTC, Kodagu depot, approached the Gokul Road police, claiming that his bag, conductor kit, and cash totalling Rs 11,672 that were kept in the breakroom of the Gokul Road bus stand were missing.

The police registered a case and began an investigation, and based on the investigation, they brought a suspect to the station, and during the inquiry, he confessed to the crime. The police seized all the items he stole and arrested him. The conductor is from the Bijapur district but works at the NWKRTC Hubballi Mofussil depot. Inspector JM Kalimirchi said that while the reason for stealing the item is not yet known, some people have a tendency to steal items, and he may belong to that category.
