Hubballi, by Hubli Express News Service : JD(S) will form alliances with any political party in pursuit of power, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said. He criticized the potential alliance between the BJP and JD(S), expressing disappointment that a party with “secular” in its name is considering an alliance with a communal party.
Addressing reporters at the airport before departing for Dharwad to participate in the annual Krishi Mela program, CM Siddaramaiah highlighted the inconsistency in JD(S) leader HD Devegowda’s earlier statement, in which he had asserted that they wouldn’t form alliances with any party. However, the recent developments make it clear that JD(S) is willing to forge alliances with any party to secure political power, said Siddaramaiah.
He said “We always used to say JD(S) is a “B” team of BJP and it is now clear and it also proved that the party has no principles and ethics. For them power is the sole motive.
When questioned about the absence of Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, from the G-20 dinner hosted by President Draupadi Murmu, Siddaramaiah criticized the government for not extending an invitation to him, deeming it a wrong decision.
