Hubballi: In a significant development, top leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) convened a meeting in Hubballi on Monday evening. The meeting was attended by senior party leaders including Laxman Savadi, Ramesh Jarkiholi, Govind Karjol, Narayan Swami, and N Ravi Kumar. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi chaired the meeting, according to sources.
Reportedly, the meeting was primarily organized to discuss a rally scheduled to be held in Hubballi on April 6. However, sources indicated that the leaders also addressed a pressing issue within the party. Jarkiholi, who recently demanded the party ticket for his friend Mahesh Kumathalli to contest the upcoming assembly election from Athani. And Savadi, who was defeated by Kumathalli when he was a Congress candidate, is now seeking the party’s ticket from Athani.
The simultaneous presence of Savadi and Jarkiholi at the meeting has sparked speculation that the two leaders may have discussed their differences and resolved the issue. However, no official statement has been released regarding the outcome of the meeting.
