Hubballi: A tragic road accident near Kiresure village claimed the life of a Police Sub Inspector attached to Hubballi Electricity Supplying Company (HESCOM) in Hubballi division on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as 37-year-old Mallikarjun Kulkarni, who had recently been transferred to HESCOM from Ammingad due to election transfer. Kulkarni had served as PSI at Gokul Road police station in Hubballi for one and a half years during the tenure of Commissioner of Police Pandurang Rane.
Sources stated that Kulkarni was driving his Maruti Swift car alone to his native village Kumaragoppa in Navalgund taluk when the accident occurred. Further details regarding the incident are yet to be revealed.
