Hubballi: Under a unique initiative to educate students about the usage and importance of public transport, students of a government school were offered a free ride on HDBRTS buses by the HDBRTS limited company as a part of Chigari Mitra campaign.
The students got information about the functioning of the BRTS buses and awareness of the use of public transport. Students of Government Primary School No. 16 Hosur, Hubballi, were offered a free ride on the Chigari bus from Hosur circle to Navnagar in Hubballi and got complete information about the importance of public transport, its use, and how the signals work.
MD HDBRTS S Bharath stated during the program’s valedictory ceremony that the campaign was launched to raise awareness about the use of public transportation and its importance so that every student uses public transportation to commute and shares information about public transportation with their friends and parents. Prizes were distributed to the students who won the quiz competition on public transportation.
