Hubballi Set to Host 42nd KAPICON 2025 Medical Conference
HUBBALLI, June 12, 2025: The three-day, 42nd Annual State Conference of Association of Physicians of India (API) , Hubballi-Dharwad Branch, KAPICON-2025, organized in association with Karnataka Medical College and Research Institute (KMC-RI) with SDM Medical College Dharwad, KLE Institutions will be held from June 13 to 15 in the city.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Organising Chairman Dr Ishwar Hasabi said “We are delighted to bring this prestigious conference back to KIMSAR after 2014.”
The inaugural ceremony is slated for 6:00 PM on June 13 at the KMCRI auditorium. District-in-Charge Minister Mr. Santosh Lad will officially open the conference. Chairman API Dr. Jyotirmay Pal and Chairman-elect Dr. Narasimhulu are also confirmed attendees.
The conference anticipates drawing over 1,800 participants, including medical practitioners, postgraduate students, researchers, and healthcare professionals from various Indian states such as Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Maharashtra. As of today, 1,635 registrations have been confirmed. The API South Central Zone and API South Zone are providing collaborative support for the event, he said.
The primary objective of KAPICON 2025 is to facilitate discussions on the latest advancements in modern medical science, emerging practices, and contemporary challenges within the healthcare sector. The conference’s motto, “Uniting Minds, Advancing Care,” encapsulates its core mission.
Dr. Hasabi further elaborated that the three-day program will encompass 85 scientific sessions and the presentation of 900 papers. These will cover a broad spectrum of medical disciplines, including internal medicine, cardiology, infectious diseases, critical care, and the integration of artificial intelligence in healthcare.
Dr. G.B. Sattur, Chief Advisor to the KAPICON Organizing Committee, highlighted the inclusion of three specialized workshops:
A “Diabetic Foot Workshop,” led by Dr. Sunil Kari, Dr. Rajiv Joshi, and their team.
A “Chest Ultrasonography in Critical Care, ICU Workshop,” conducted by Dr. Shailendra D.S., Dr. Gangadhar C. Patil, and their team.
A “Mechanical Ventilation Workshop,” presented by Dr. Pradeep Rangappa and his team from Bengaluru.
Prior to the inauguration of KAPICON-2025, a Continued Medical Education (CME) programme of KAPICON-2025 will be held at the same venue at 10 am.
Additionally, over 500 poster presentations by postgraduate students will be featured. The conference venue will also host more than 35 exhibition stalls, showcasing pharmaceutical products and local crafts, including Ilkal sarees.
The press conference was attended by other organizing committee members, including Dr. Raghavendra Belagaonkar, Dr. Chandrashekar, Dr. Uday Bande, Dr. Kiran Aithal, and Dr. Avinash Itagi.
