Hubballi: The East Traffic Police have solved a hit-and-run case by arresting the accused within 48 hours. The police have apprehended a car driver who was on run after he ran over his car, crashing with a two-wheeler.
The accused escaped in his car after running over and abandoning the car near Tirlapur village in Navalgund taluk.
According to the police, the accused fled to Bengaluru and was apprehended on Thursday.
Nirmala Jain, 55, who was riding pillion at the time, died on the spot after a car collided with her scooter near Sarvodaya Circle on February 22.
