Hubballi: Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai said that neither his government nor his party had planned to hold early elections.
Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, the chief minister categorically denied holding early polls for the state Assembly. We are trying to deliver all our programmes to the people, and based on that, we wanted to seek a positive mandate. Perhaps Congress’ internal conflict will worsen if the elections are held as per schedule; the Congress is spreading this to pacify Congress party workers; he said.
