Hubballi-Dharwad Police Seize 75 bikes, and mopeds plying without number plates

Hubballi: The Hubballi-Dharwad police have continued their drive against the bikes, mopeds plying on the city roads. On Wednesday, the police teams led by DCP (Crime and Traffic) Gopal Byakod temporarily seized 74 such vehicles.

DCP Byakod said that they have seized 40 vehicles in Dharwad and 35 in Hubballi. This is the third day of the drive. The drive was concentrated in Hubballi for the first two days, with 45 vehicles seized on the first day and 30 vehicles seized on the second.

The purpose of the drive was to curb the crime rate in the twin cities. The police said that they are releasing the vehicles once the rider shows the proper documents. The police are expected to reveal more information about the drive once it ends.
