Hubballi-Dharwad Police Book 152 Individuals, Including 11 for Creating Fear-Inducing Reels

Dharwad, EXPRESS News: The Hubballi-Dharwad city police continued their area domination exercise within the jurisdiction of the Dharwad Town Police Station on Saturday. This initiative aimed to tackle various criminal activities and maintain law and order in the city.

During the operation, a total of 152 individuals were booked for different offenses. The list included 25 rowdy sheeters, 15 members of local mobs, 15 individuals involved in matka gambling, 26 accused in gambling cases, and 10 linked to cricket betting. Additionally, 30 individuals were charged under the COTPA (Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act), 20 for violating traffic rules, and 11 for creating social media reels that incited fear among the public.

The operation was conducted under the leadership of the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) from the Hubballi CEN Police Station. Police officials stated that such initiatives are crucial for ensuring community safety and deterring criminal activities in the area. The police department remains committed to upholding the law and encouraging residents to report any suspicious activities.
