Hubballi: The City Crime Branch (CCB), which did not have a dedicated office and was working from the CAR office so far, got a new address. The new office came up in the Sub Urban police station building in Hubballi, and Police Commissioner Raman Gupta inaugurated the new station on Thursday.
Speaking to Hubli Express, the COP said that he would pass an order by this evening forming four squads, namely the Economic Offense Wing, the Anti-Narcotic Wing, the Special Enquiry Wing, and the Organized Crime Wing, and that for each squad there will be one inspector, and it will be headed by the Assistant Commissioner of Police.
Each squad and the dedicated inspector investigate and solve the cases assigned to their squads; for example, the Anti-Narcotic Wing will investigate the case registered with them. He said the CCB would perform in a more organized way.
