Hubballi: The Bendigeri Police have arrested three accused who used to target lone commuters in the city and snatch away their valuables after beating and threatening them.
The police said that the gang used to target commuters who were found walking alone on the city roads. Recently, a man was robbed while he was walking to Mantur Road. The team robbed the victim’s mobile phone and stole Rs 500 by beating and threatening him.
Sources said that the accused were residents of the settlement area. The police did not reveal the names of the accused. The police have seized two bikes worth Rs. 1.30 lakh and a mobile phone from their possession.
