In Hubballi, a man borrowed a car from his friend, but he did not return it to him for almost three years. Finally, the man lodged a complaint with the police, and he was arrested and sent to jail.
What is the case?
According to the Gokul Road police, accused Kishor Anvekar, a resident of Pavuskar Layout, had borrowed a car from his friend Basavaraj Gourakkanavar, a resident of Kotilingeshwar Nagar, saying that he wanted his car to visit someplace and would return it immediately after returning to the city.
But Anvekar, did not return the car, instead, he kept the car as a pledge to someone. After that he was absconding, the victim Basavaraj approached the police, just a week ago, and the police nabbed the accused on Sunday evening. The police also recovered the car which the accused kept as a pledge.
Police team led by JM Kalimirchi has solved the case successfully, and the accused is in judicial custody, the police said.
