Hubballi: On Monday night, the Lord Basaveshwar statue at the city’s Basava Vana was temporarily relocated to Indira Glass House to allow for the construction of the flyover that goes through Basava Vana.
The elected representatives had guaranteed Basavanna supporters that his statue would be reinstalled in the same location after the flyover construction work was done. The supporters of Basaveshwar agreed, and as the flyover work near the Old Bus Stand, the authorities relocated the bronze statue.
