Hubballi: The district government has chosen to gift Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a specially designed cardamom garland and Peta, Swami Vivekand’s idol made using Bidari art, a specially designed, handmade shawl manufactured in Dharwad, and a teakwood-framed Khadi flag.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate National Youth Festival at Railway Ground on January 12 and the district administration has decided to honour the PM with gifts of our region.
According to the officials, the cardamom garland was specially purchased from a producer in Haveri; the Peta provides cardamom scent; and the Khadi flag weaved at Bengeri and Garag Khadi units, was framed in teakwood.
