Hubballi: Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Mines, and Coal Pralhad Joshi replied to former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy’s claim that police detained a few innocent people in the Hubballi violence case. Joshi questioned the former CM about how he knew the arrested were innocent even before the probe began.
A proper investigation into the Saturday night incident would be conducted. The police would not trouble a single innocent person, and they would not leave the organizations responsible for this violence.
The process of banning organizations like SDPI and PFI is on since these are political parties as well, and it was brought to the notice of the government. Regarding a demand from a section of the society that the properties of the communal goons should be seized like the governments of UP and MP are doing, the Union Minister said this can’t be implemented everywhere, but if we use the existing laws properly, that is enough, he said.
