Horatti says he is not thinking of changing the party as of now.

Hubballi: Basavaraj Horatti, Chairman of Karnataka Legislative Council, said, “He is not thinking of leaving JDS. And it is true that some of his good friends from the BJP are inviting me to join the party, but as of now, I have no plans to change the party. “

Speaking to reporters after flagging off new Bolero vehicles donated from his MLC fund to the Hubballi Rural Police station on Friday, Horatti said he enjoys the support of teachers and that is why he did not really think of changing the party. Many of his supporters are asking him to contest the next election as an independent, but there is a lot of time for the next election, he said.

I am ready to mediate to solve the Hijab and saffron shawl issues.

Horatti expressed concern over the Hijab and Saffron shawl row and said that this is all politics, but that this issue affects the future of our children.

He said that this issue should be solved amicably. “Both higher and primary and secondary education ministers, home minister, a few officials from universities, PU Board directors, and a few parents from both communities should sit together and give a good message to them.” If the chief minister asks me to take up the responsibility of pacifying the communities, I will do so, “he said.

At the event, Superintendent of Police P Krishnakanth, DYSP MB Sankad, Police Inspectors Ramesh Gokak, JC Doognavar, Ravichandran DB, and others were present.
