Historic first for India at Commonwealth Games, Tejaswini Shankar wins a medal


Tejaswin Shankar won India’s first medal in athletics at the Commonwealth Games 2022, securing bronze in the men’s high jump final. Tejaswin, competing for India for the first time in four years, hit a 2.22m landing to finish on the podium.

Several people took to Koo, a microblogging site to congratulate Shankar on his achievement.
