Hubballi: Hindu leaders installed the Ganesha idol at around 7.30 a.m. this morning amid chanting of mantras. The members of Kittur Rani Chennamma Gajanan Utsav Mahamandali installed the idol.
The Mahamandali earlier decided to install the idol at 1 pm, but they changed their plans and installed a small Ganesha early in the morning, and later they brought a 4 ft. high Ganesha in a procession from Moorusavirmath and installed it.
The devotees burst crackers and hailed the lord as the priests installed Ganesha. This is the first time Ganesha has been installed at this controversial place.
