Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has requested all the community members, students, and their parents to accept and follow the verdict of the High Court, which said wearing the hijab is not an essential religious practice. “I request all to accept and follow the ruling of the High Court. Nothing is more important than studies for students, hence I request them to concentrate on their studies,” he said.
Following the verdict, he stated that if anyone was found to be taking the law into their own hands, they would be severely punished in accordance with the law.
