Hubballi: As the saying goes, the eyes are the jewels of the body, and taking care of them is extremely important, especially for those suffering from diabetes and hypertension. With this in mind, the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Hubballi chapter, in collaboration with Jayapriya Hospital, organised an eye check-up camp at IMA Hall on the occasion of World Sight Day.
A total of 112 patients were examined, and 29 were found to have cataracts and were advised to seek treatment.
Dr SY Mulkipatil, President of the Hubballi IMA, inaugurated the camp and emphasised the significance of eyes and advised how to keep eyes healthy.
Dr S G Babruwad, Dr Manjunath Nekar, Jayapriya Hospital’s principal surgeon, Dr Venkatraman Katti, Dr Shweta, Dr Anuja and Dr Ramya were present.
