Hubballi: This Friday and Saturday, the Hubballi-Dharwad Urban Development Authority(HDUDA) will restart its drive against illegal layouts, and this time 36 unauthorized layouts will be cleared, said HDUDA Chairman Nagesh Kalaburgi.
He said the drive against illegal layouts would continue in the twin cities. Recently, a survey of 36 illegal layouts was completed. On Friday and Saturday, the officials and staff will remove the electric poles, road, boundary stones, drainage, UGD, water supply line, and other structures of an illegal layout that came up in Hosayellapur in Dharwad, he said.
He said in the previous two drives, illegal layouts came up in Malapur, Yettingudda, Hosayellapur, Charantimath Garden Road, Govankoppa, Kelgeri, Lakamanahalli, and Gulgunjikoppa in Dharwad were removed. Similarly, in Hubballi city, structures of illegal layouts that came up on Mantur Road, Nekar Nagar, Timmasagar, Raynal, and Ayodhya Nagar were cleared, he said and added that a total of 177 illegal layouts were removed then.
He stated that those attempting to build properties in those 177 layouts would face severe consequences, and he directed all officers and staff to be present during the drive on Friday and Saturday.
