Hubballi: The Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) has clarified a recent incident in which potholes on Hosur Unkal Road were filled with sludge.
According to the HDMC, unidentified locals filled the potholes not HDMC civic workers. After photos of sludge-filled potholes goes public, the Zonal Assistant Commissioners of Zones 9 and 5 conducted a spot inspection and submitted a report.
The officials claimed in the report that civic labourers did not do this. The National Highway is developing the road under Central Road Fund. Locals have also been warned not to spill the sludge on the roads.
