Hubballi: The HDMC officials and staff, with the help of town police, cleared the encroachment on Thursday. The road approaching MG Market was occupied by the vendors; they used to cover the road with tarpaulins and used to block the road by placing things. The HDMC staff has cleared those street vendors. The drive at Durgadbail was led by ZAC of Zone 9.
Similarly, the staffs have removed parts of the buildings that were encroaching on Karwar Road. They removed parts of the building near Indipump Circle. The road between Girinichawl Circle and the Anchatgeri Road Bridge is all set to get widened. To facilitate the widening and development of Indipump Circle, the encroachments are being removed, said officials.
In zone number 8, the officials cleared encroached footpaths. The staff cleared footpaths for pedestrians from CBT, the new quilla cross, Shah Bazaar, to Durgadbail.
