Hubballi: The Hubballi-Dharwad Bus Rapid Transit System (HDBRTS) workers returned a bag containing gold jewellery such as earrings, a necklace, Mangalsutra, bangles, and a wristwatch total worth Rs 3 lakh to its rightful owner.
According to the HDBRTS officials, passenger Somappa Kumbar and his family members boarded a BRTS bus from Dharwad to reach Hubballi on Thursday and alighted, leaving behind the bag.
Anxious Somappa went to the BRTS headquarters and told them about the event. The employees at the HDBRTS control room located the bag with the help of CCTV cameras and return it to the owner in the presence of Vidyanagar police.
BD Jadhav, manager (operations), and PRO of the company, Manjunath Jedenavar, were present while handing over the valuables to the owner.
